Czech Climate Coalition
Czech Climate Coalition is a platform for Czech non-governmental non-profit organisations and informal initiatives that primarily deal with climate and environmental protection, climate crisis mitigation and adaptation, social aspects of climate crisis, development cooperation and humanitarian aid. It was founded in 2007.
The Czech Climate Coalition’s Mission
Co-create and reinforce
the wider climate movement, to foster collaboration and strengthen knowledge about climate change and its solutions
Encourage
the reduction of the human impact on the climate to become a guiding principle in the decision-making of the state, municipalities, households, companies, institutions and organisations
Support
cooperation, open discussion, sharing of information, knowledge and experience among member and affiliate organisations
Assume,
that Czechia assists the most vulnerable people in developing countries in adapting to the inevitable impacts of the climate crisis and in mitigation measures
To lead
a public debate on the ongoing climate change, on mitigation options, on its impacts at home and worldwide, and on adaptation options
Promote
comprehensive sustainable, socially and environmentally friendly and equitable solutions
Increase
awareness of the climate crisis in Czechia as an urgent problem that requires urgent solutions
Enforce,
that Czechia should phase out coal-fired power generation by 2030 and become carbon neutral by 2050 at the latest
